Practical Diversity Workshop for Roller Derby

  • UAA/APU Consortium Library, Room 307 3211 Providence Dr Anchorage, AK 99508 United States (map)

Join us for a Practical Diversity Workshop, featuring esteemed presenters Dawn Bennett-Alexander and Tess Harrison (a.k.a Baller Shot Caller.)

While we aim for diversity and inclusion in schools, workplaces, and derby, practical implementation often eludes us. Dawn Bennett-Alexander asserts that, with a bit of effort, we can make these theories into reality.

About the Presenters

Dawn Bennett-Alexander is a lawyer and associate professor at UGA specializing in Employment Law. Her work is founded on the understanding that each of us is here for a unique purpose and has the tools to accomplish it.

Baller Shot Caller (Tess Harrison) is a sports coach and strength and conditioning enthusiast. She has played for Gold Coast Derby Grrls, Atlanta Roller Derby, and USA Roller Derby and has been voted as captain for all three.

Open to ALL roller derby skaters regardless of league affiliation.
